Dr. Aric Swancutt was raised in southeastern Minnesota. He graduated with a bachelor of science in biology and a chemistry minor from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He then continued his education in sports exercise science at the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse. His passion for sports medicine and biomechanics led Dr. Swancutt to Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine, where he earned his Doctorate. Dr. Swancutt continued his education through a surgical residency at HCA Aventura Hospital, a level 2 trauma center in Aventura, FL. During his residency, Dr. Swancutt collaborated with several disciplines within the hospital, including podiatric, orthopedic, vascular, and plastic surgery. His vigorous training in these fields led Dr. Swancutt to be a founding member of a limb preservation program at the hospital. Dr. Swancutt trained in limb salvage practices, minimally invasive bunion procedures, and the treatment of many other foot & ankle deformities. Dr. Swancutt’s surgical interests include trauma with fracture fixation in the lower extremity, sports medicine injuries in athletes of all ages, and limb salvage practices for diabetic patients.
Dr. Swancutt has three years of experience as a Podiatric surgeon and is dedicated to improving his patients’ lives. His healthcare philosophy is founded in the principle that the patient’s needs come first. He is dedicated to providing attentive, empathetic care through each phase of a patient’s healing journey, beginning at the first consultation through the post-operative recovery process. Dr. Swancutt is determined to never stop learning about new ideas and techniques in the field of Podiatric Medicine in order to provide the best care for his patients.
Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Swancutt enjoys spending time with family, friends, and his dog, Cooper. He also enjoys playing several sports, especially volleyball, and living an active, healthy lifestyle. Dr. Swancutt loves to experience new cultures and cuisines through his travels.
